What easy-pipe does
The builder is a drawing tool with a catalogue of real parts. It lets you assemble an installation from fittings, checks compatibility between adjacent parts (diameter, thread type and direction, connection method) and turns the finished layout into a list of items to buy.
That is help with planning and purchasing: seeing the whole assembly, not forgetting an adapter, not coming home from the store with the wrong thread. That much it does well.
What easy-pipe does not do
A compatibility check is not engineering. The builder neither performs nor verifies:
- hydraulic calculations: diameters for the required flow, pressure loss, flow velocity and noise;
- thermal calculations: heat loss per room, emitter output, loop length and spacing for underfloor heating;
- equipment sizing: pumps by head, expansion vessels, safety groups, pressure reducers;
- working pressures and temperatures, or how the chosen materials hold up in your particular system;
- the building codes of your region, gas regulations, or the requirements of your building management;
- whether approvals, permits or commissioning are required.
Put another way: “these parts fit together” answers whether it can be assembled physically — not whether it will work correctly or whether it is safe.
A layout is not a design
A layout and parts list from easy-pipe are not design documentation, carry no legal weight, and cannot be used as grounds for installation, approval or commissioning.
Design documentation is issued by a suitably qualified professional, under their signature and their responsibility. A layout from the builder is a good starting point for that conversation — not a substitute for it.
When engineering review is mandatory
We recommend having a certified design engineer review the layout before work starts in every case; in the situations below we consider that review mandatory:
- anything involving gas: gas boilers, water heaters, connection to a gas main;
- systems in apartment buildings, where a failure affects neighbours and shared property;
- industrial, commercial and public buildings;
- concealed pipework — in walls, screed or behind finishes, where a leak is neither visible nor fixable without demolition;
- solid-fuel boilers, high temperatures and any circuit under excess pressure;
- connections to public utility networks and anything requiring approval or commissioning;
- large, unusual or unfamiliar systems — if there is the slightest doubt about the solution.
The catalogue is for reference
Sizes, threads, materials and intended use in the catalogue are reference data. They may contain errors or simplifications, or differ from a specific product from a specific manufacturer and batch.
Check the specifications against the product listing and the manufacturer's documentation before buying — and against the part in your hand before installing.
Installation and its consequences
We take no part in the installation, do not supervise it, and cannot verify what you assembled or how. Joint quality, following the correct technique, tightening torques, pressure testing and commissioning are entirely the responsibility of whoever carries out the work.
So we are not liable for leaks, flooding, property damage, equipment failure, a system that never reaches its intended performance, or any cost of redoing the work — whether the layout came from easy-pipe or was sketched by hand.
The service is under active development. Errors in the builder, in compatibility checking and in catalogue data are possible; the presence of checks in the interface is not a guarantee that a solution is correct.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”, with no warranty of operation, data accuracy, fitness for your particular task, or compliance with any standard.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for direct or indirect losses arising from use of the service or reliance on its output — including parts bought in error, work delays, property damage, harm to third parties and lost profit.

How to use the service properly
Our recommendation is simple:
- draw the assembly in easy-pipe and get the parts list;
- show the layout to a professional — an engineer or an experienced installer — and apply their corrections;
- check the items against the actual products in the store;
- leave complex installations to a qualified contractor, and pressure-test the system before anything is closed up behind finishes.
That way the tool does its part — saving time and money at the planning stage — and the decisions are made by the people who answer for them.
