Who handles your data
easy-pipe (the site easy-pipe.app and the builder at build.easy-pipe.app) is developed by an independent team. You can reach us at hello@easy-pipe.app — data questions go to the same address.
What we collect
Without an account we collect no personal data: your name, phone number, email or payment details are not needed for the builder and are never requested. Signing in is optional and adds only what the “Accounts and cloud sync” section below describes.
- Projects and layouts — stored locally in your browser (localStorage and IndexedDB) and never sent to us.
- Interface settings — the language you picked, 2D/3D mode and similar preferences, also stored locally.
- Hosting records — IP address, browser type and the page requested, logged by our hosting provider to protect the service and diagnose failures.
- Anonymous visit statistics — which pages were opened, which source brought you here, device type and country. Collected by Google Analytics; details below. Separately, the builder keeps its own usage statistics which also store your IP address — for no longer than 90 days.
Cookies and local storage: what, why and on what basis
There are no advertising cookies or tracking pixels on this site: we show no ads, we don't build visitor profiles and we don't share data with ad networks. Everything the site keeps in your browser falls into two groups — what the service needs to work, and analytics, which is only set with your consent.
| What is stored | Why | Consent needed | How long it lives |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your projects and diagrams (localStorage, IndexedDB) | So your work survives closing the tab. The data stays on your device and is never sent to us | No — this is the service itself | Until you delete them or clear site data |
| Interface settings: language, 2D/3D mode | So the site opens the way you left it | No — essential | Until you clear site data |
| Your analytics answer (pp-consent-v1 cookie) | So we don't ask on every visit and your refusal is respected. The cookie is shared by the site and the builder, so you are asked once for both | No — it stores your decision itself | 1 year, or until you clear site data |
| Sign-in session, if you have an account (Supabase) | Keeps you signed in and syncs projects between devices | No — sign-in is impossible without it and you requested it | Until you sign out |
| Builder service identifier (pp-aid) | Our own builder usage statistics: that it was opened, time spent, which tools were used, country and IP address. Stored in our database and never shared with third parties; the IP is erased after 90 days | No — our legitimate interest: no third-party cookies, no advertising profile | Until you clear site data |
| Google Analytics: _ga and _ga_* cookies | Anonymous visit statistics: which pages were opened, where you came from, device type, country | Yes — set only after you press Allow | Up to 2 years, or until you clear site data |
The legal basis for analytics is your consent. Until you give it, the Google Analytics code is not loaded onto the page at all: not a single request is sent and not a single cookie is set. Declining and dismissing the banner are equivalent — the site works exactly the same.
You can withdraw consent at any time: the Data settings link in the footer of any page brings the banner back, where you can choose Essential only. Analytics stops collecting, and cookies already set are removed by clearing site data in your browser. You can also block collection with a content blocker or Google's official Analytics Opt-out add-on.
What never reaches Google Analytics: your name, email, password and the contents of your diagrams. The builder does not send them — the statistics only know that a page was viewed.
Separately from Google, the builder keeps its own usage statistics: a random identifier, the fact of opening, time spent, which tools were used and your country and IP address (the address is provided by our hosting; we keep it for no longer than 90 days, after which it is erased and only the anonymous statistics remain). The contents of your diagrams never reach it. This data is stored in our database (Supabase), is never shared with anyone and exists only so we understand what people actually use; if you are signed in, the statistics are linked to your account — deleting the account removes the link.
Hosting and data sharing
The site and the builder run on Cloudflare infrastructure, so requests pass through their servers and appear in the provider's technical logs. We don't sell data and we don't hand it to ad networks.
There are two external services on our pages, both Google's. Google Fonts is always loaded, so opening a page makes your browser contact Google's servers, which exposes your IP address to them. Google Analytics is only loaded after you consent — if you decline, no request to analytics is made at all.
Accounts and cloud sync
An account is optional. Without one nothing changes: the builder works fully offline and your projects stay on your device only.
If you sign in — via Google, Apple, an email and password, or a one-time email link — we store your email address and the projects you create in the cloud, so they sync across your devices. Authentication and this storage are provided by Supabase on our behalf. Each account can access only its own projects.
You can sign out at any time and your local copies remain on the device. You can delete your account together with all of its cloud data from within the app; local projects on your device are not affected.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data on our side, there is usually nothing for us to export or erase on request: everything you create lives on your device and disappears when you clear your browser data.
If you believe we do process data about you, you may request access to it, its correction or its deletion — write to us and we will respond.
Children
The service is aimed at adults doing plumbing work and is not directed at children. We deliberately do not collect data from minors.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated version.
A layout is not a design document
This section is not about data, but it matters for understanding what the service is. easy-pipe is a drawing tool with a parts catalogue, not a design practice: the builder checks compatibility between adjacent parts, but it does not engineer your system and does not verify compliance with the codes of your region.
A layout and its parts list are not design documentation and cannot serve as grounds for installation or approval. Before installing a complex residential or industrial system, have the layout reviewed by a certified design engineer: responsibility for the design decision, the installation and its consequences stays with you.
